For over 20 years, the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center has been promoting the appreciation, expression, and growth of the arts in the Chippewa Valley. The State Theatre provides a home base for local arts organizations, gallery space for area professional artists, a Grand Theatre for local and national touring shows, and countless opportunities for everyone in our community to enrich their lives through the arts.

Our community needs the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center. Each year, over 100,000 people of all ages and backgrounds participate in arts programs at the State Theatre–as performers, artists, audience members, students, visitors, and volunteers.

The Eau Claire Regional Arts Center needs the community to support activities and operation. Ticket sales cover less than one-third of expenses. Memberships, sponsorships, grants, and other contributions provide the bulk of our funding.

FAQs ABOUT ART CENTER MEMBERSHIPS

Why are memberships needed?
Proceeds from ticket sales go directly to paying for the performer, sound and lighting equipment, and advertising.
If ticket sales go well, the event will pay for itself; however, this is not always the case. Memberships allow the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council the opportunity to take a chance on a performance which may not pay for itself through ticket sales. Memberships also provide much needed funding for the day-to-day expenses of the State Theatre (i.e. heat, lights, staff, and maintenance). As part
of its mission, "to transform people's lives through the performing and visual arts," the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council supports various local performing organizations. Membership dollars allow us to offset the rental fees these groups would otherwise have to pay. In a grand sense, your membership is also a vote of confidence on the overall volunteer efforts of the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council.

Can anyone become a member?
The only requirement to becoming a member is that you must be at least 18 years old.

What benefits come with my membership?
Membership benefits include:

Exchange Privileges: If you are unable to attend an event, you many exchange tickets up to 48 hours before the performance for another event. Expired tickets are not subject to exchanges. No refunds
are given unless the show is canceled.
Courtesy Days: You will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance of other patrons, thereby receiving the best seating options.
Ticket Insurance: If you lose your tickets, you may call and request replacements. They are free for members and $2 per ticket for non-members.
Voting Privilege: You have voting privileges at The Arts Center Council Annual Meeting.
Special Updates: You will receive e-mail and direct mail updates and special announcements.
Other Benefits: These vary by membership level.

How long does my membership last?
Memberships run July 1st through June 30th.

Do I need to pay all at once?
