Bruce Warren & Little Plum Pottery

Bruce Warren, of Eau Claire, uses a 4x5 view camera to create stark black & white abstractions, focusing on the interplay of light and shadow, shapes and repetitive patterns. The use of the view camera slows down the process, emphasizing the careful consideration of the subject matter before the lens.
Little Plum Pottery has been operating since 1980 out of Little Plum Valley near Pepin, Wisconsin, and combines the talents of husband/wife team Art Gannett and Barbara Andersen. Art started on the potter's wheel in 1971 and has worked as a professional potter since 1974. Barbara, a graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, does the glazing on all Art's stoneware and porcelain. Their focus on wood-fired stoneware and porcelain reflects their passion for excellence in glaze results as well as taking advantage of the vibrant and unpredictable atmosphere of wood fires.
An Artists' Reception will take place on Thursday, October 13 from 6 - 7:30pm.
