This one day workshop will concentrate on the relativity of color in light using a primary limited palette. The day will begin with a short lecture and demonstration of how to problem solve the color of light at hand in the landscape. Kami will emphasize the importance of the properties of color to problem solve the effect of light you are painting: hue, value, temperature, and saturation. Students will do several small studies during the day, applying a step-by-step approach to problem solving and mixing color. Plan to learn a lot and become immersed in color! The only requirements are a hardy love of the outdoors and a positive attitude. Participating artists are invited to continue exhibiting their paintings from this event at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center after the event through September if desired.
