Bowl Painting Party
Monday, July 16 | 6 - 8:30 PM
FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR EMPTY BOWLS!
R.S.V.P. to Susie Haugley at email@example.com
Please join us for an evening of bowl painting, wine, conversation and fun on Monday, July 16, 2018. The Eau Claire Regional Arts Council and Feed My People Food Bank will co-sponsor a bowl painting event in the State Theatre from 6-8:30 p.m. Bring all your creative energies, decorating ideas and sense of whimsy and get ready to spend the evening decorating bowls for Feed My People's Empty Bowls event in March. The bowls stay with us - but you have some creative fun and the happy anticipation of seeing them on display next March at our biggest fundraiser-Empty Bowls.
There will be a cash bar provided by the Regional Arts Council and a brief instruction on bowl painting by our wonderful volunteer artist Ruth Lundblad.
Since we keep the bowls there is no charge for the event but there will be a $5.00 suggested donation to help cover the cost of supplies. From our past bowl painting parties we can guarantee many beautiful and creative bowls, lots of fun and laughter, and a good time for all.
There is a 50 person maximum for the space we have available so please R.S.V.P. to Susie Haugley, at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, July 9. We hope to see you there for a lively time of painting and good cheer.
Our next Empty Bowls fundraiser will be held on March 7, 2019 at the Florian Gardens. Last year, over 2,900 people gathered for a meal of soup, bread and dessert and received a hand-crafted bowl to take home. All proceeds support Feed My People programs that provide food to those who struggle with hunger in west central Wisconsin.
For over 35 years Feed My People has worked to connect excess food with partner programs and the tables of families facing food insecurity in their daily lives. These partners include not only food pantries and meal sites but also schools, clinics and programs for seniors and veterans. Hunger hurts everyone. It is a barrier to a healthy, productive life. The solution lies in the collective efforts of many in our community who want to provide a helping hand to children, families and seniors who face food insecurity. By painting a bowl for our Empty Bowls fundraiser, you are part of that collective effort. Thank you!
