Meet Our Board
of Directors
Our board consists of twelve individuals dedicated to transforming people's lives through the performing and visual arts. As volunteers, they provide essential oversight, seek funding from various sources, and help plan the future of the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center.
We wish to recognize and thank our Board of Directors. They give their time, talent, energy, resources and enthusiasm to move the Arts Center forward!
Steve Bohrer
President
Steve has lived in Eau Claire for 20 years and is an attorney with the Eau Claire City Attorney's Office. He and his wife, Ann, have two grown children, Clare and Nick, who have shared the stage with their dad in many local musical theater productions. Steve has also served on other local boards in the arts community and at his church. "We are very fortunate to live in such a great arts community!"

Joel Breed
Secretary
Joel Breed has lived in Eau Claire for the last 6 years. He is the Assistant to the President for Brotoloc North, a local residential service provider for adults with disabilities. He and his wife, Jessica, and their children, Berit and Harrison, have been active in the Eau Claire theater scene for years by attending and performing in shows at the State Theater.
Kirk Ausman
Vice President
Kirk was the owner of Ausman Brick & Stone Mason Contractor for 21 Years.
He has performed in many shows with the Children's Theater including the role of " Doc" in West Side Story and the "Sheriff" in To Kill a Mockingbird.
Kirk has also served on numerous civic committees including former chairman of the Eau Claire Housing Advisory Board.
Mark Helland
Mark Helland is the managing partner of Foxmoor Continuing Education, a company providing in-person and on-line continuing professional education for attorneys, accountants, financial planners and other professional groups across the country. He is also involved with several other small businesses here in Eau Claire.
Carol Olson
Joni Zich
Joni Zich, Manager of Gas Resource Planning, began her employment with Xcel Energy over twenty years ago. In her management position, she is currently responsible for the development, preparation, and implementation of strategic natural gas resource plans for NSP MN, NSP WI, and NSP Generation. Joni received her MBA in 2000 from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Joni is also serving on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement and Xcel Energy's Political Action Committee. She is a past Fall Creek School Board member.
Jennifer Block
Jennifer Block is the community relations manager for RCU. She is responsible for developing and implementing a broad range of community relations activities to generate a favorable public image along with positive exposure for RCU through effective media relations and events. She also manages RCU's School $ense program.
Jennifer received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northern Illinois University. She is an appointee to the Governor's Council on Financial Literacy and is the co-race director for the RCU Charity Classic. Jen has served on the Board of Directors for both The Community Table and the Wisconsin Healthcare PR & Marketing Society.
Laurie Schlachtenhaufen
Sally Sundby
Sally worked for US Bank for 35 years in various capacities. She retired in 2007 to spend more time with her, then retired husband, Mel Sundby. The couple decided to pursue their passion of the arts full time. Mel teaches pottery and watercolor classes at their home and gallery and Sally takes care of all the advertising of the classes and attendees of each class. The Sundbys have served on various theater boards and committees which led Sally to the ECRAC board. She is committed to the Performing Arts concept and believes that The State Theater pulls it all together.
